Mgr. Svatopluk Šplechtna is a graduate from the Faculty of Law of Charles’ University. After finishing his studies in 1993, he worked in general practice, and later concentrated on commercial, civil and copyright law, and representing clients in disputes before the courts. Since 1997 he has been a member of the Czech Bar Association and has been working in Váňa, Kapalín & Partners since its inception.

Within procedural law, Mgr. Svatopluk Šplechtna specialises also in arbitration proceedings before arbitration tribunals and utilises this experience subsequently in contract work. Regarding civil law, he is focused particularly on real estate. Concerning business law, he concentrates on the relations of business firms. Regarding copyright rights, he has handled successfully several highly contentious proceedings over the protection of those rights relating to real estate. In Váňa, Kapalín & Partners he concentrates also on family law. Mgr. Svatopluk Šplechtna speaks Czech and English and has a passive knowledge of both German and Russian.

He has been the second senior partner at VKP since 2005 and a person who shares in its administration and management together with Mgr. Kapalín.
